Allen’s son released from hospital

Celtics guard Ray Allen said his son Walker was released from a Boston-area hospital about an hour ago and is at home resting comfortably. Walker, 2, suffers from childhood diabetes and Ray said his son was taken to the hospital after getting nauseated on Thanksgiving.

“He’s been going through it and the whole time he’s managed to keep his spirits,” Allen said before the Celtics-Heat game. “When I was there to make the plane and I only left because once he got up and I had him listening to music on my iPod and he was up. I just wanted to make sure he was all right before I left.”

Allen flew to Miami Saturday evening only after his son began to feel more energetic.
