House drops 24 in Knicks debut

Wilson Chandler, apparently, isn’t accustomed to having Eddie House open in the corner. House was shooting the lights out in his MSG debut on his way to a 24 point night. His catch-and-shoot jumper (of course, from just inside the three point line) with 30.7 seconds left in OT put the Knicks up 118-117. But, a Kevin Durant jumper and two more free throws quickly put them back down.

The Knicks had a chance to go ahead. But after taking a McGrady inbounds pass, Wilson Chandler decided to drive to the basket and wound up missing the lay-up not realizing House was open in the corner. House missed a desperation shot in the last seconds and the Knicks fell 121-118, wasting his debut and also Tracy McGrady’s 26-point, five assist effort.
