Robinson probable for Spurs

Guard Nate Robinson practiced Saturday afternoon and will likely be available for the Celtics’ game against San Antonio Sunday night. Robinson sustained a sprained ankle in the Celtics’ win over Sacramento Friday.

Captain Paul Pierce participated only in shooting drills during the team’s one-hour workout in Waltham but is expected to be in the starting lineup. Center Kendrick Perkins (knee tendinitis) will likely sit out his second successive game.

“Paul was sore, so that took us down to 10 (players),” Celtics coach Doc Rivers said of the training session. “Nate’s pretty good, I think he’ll play. I don’t think Perk will play. He may play, but right now I would say no. The way we’re looking at it it gives him two or three extra days, then he can play on Wednesday, so it just gives him a longer rest.”
