It appears Celtics big man Shaquille O’Neal is planning another one of his surprise public appearances.
During a segment on New England Sports Network about Shaq’s involvement in the Toys for Tots program in Framingham, O’Neal was asked about how he’s enjoyed his time in Boston so far. He said he’s planning an appearance similar to his Harvard Square “Shaqtue” stunt last month, when he posed silently and expressionless and allowed fans to take photos with him.
“I”m honored to do stuff like the Shaq statue and stuff like that. Oh, coming soon, in a mall nearby, bring your kids to take a picture with Shaq-a-Claus,” Shaq told reporter Uri Berenguer.
O’Neal announced when the “Shaqtue” was going to happen one hour prior via his Twitter account: @THE_REAL_SHAQ.
He also revealed what’s No. 1 on his Christmas wish list during the NESN story.
“I want to help Boston get 18,” he said, a reference to the Celtics’ pursuit of their 18th NBA title this season.
