Final: Celtics 93, Bobcats 62

Final, Celtics 93-62: The Celtics go on a humbling 11-0 run over the final two minutes to really embarrass the Bobcats. The Celtics bench scores a combined 39 points as Glen Davis paces Boston with 16. Kevin Garnett finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds in 23 minutes, just 8 in the second half.

Fourth quarter, 4:00, Celtics 82-57: Celtics go on a 15-2 run, including two 3-pointers from Nate Robinson and this one is done. Glen Davis and Ray Allen each have 16 points and we now have an Avery Bradley and Luke Harangody sighting. The starters are on ice.

Fourth quarter, 9:13, Celtics 67-53: Doc Rivers is resting Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen so far in the fourth quarter and the bench is maintaining the lead, but another Charlotte run and he may have to go with the starting lineup. Rajon Rondo has 7 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 6 turnovers.

Third quarter, 2:24, Celtics 58-43: Paul Pierce is struggling from the field and the Celtics have 13 turnovers but their defense is helping them maintain space between the struggling Bobcats.

Third quarter, 6:04, Celtics 53-37: The Celtics are trying to pull away despite being at less their best. They are shooting 41 percent with 12 turnovers and Paul Pierce and Ray Allen are a combined 4-for-17 but Kevin Garnett has a double-double already and Rajon Rondo has 7 points and 7 assists.

Halftime, Celtics 42-32: Celtics allow a 6-0 run to get Bobcats to within five and then respond with five points of their own, including a 3-pointer by Marquis Daniels. Celtics are 14-for-36 from the field with nine turnovers. Glen Davis and Kevin Garnett each have nine points. Nazr Mohammed leads Charlotte with 12.

Second quarter, 2:47, Celtics 35-26: The Celtics are starting to get comfortable and establish themselves offensively and Charlotte is just plain bad. The Bobcats are shooting 34.4 percent and Nazr Mohammed is leading the team in scoring with 8. Paul Pierce is trying to get into a groove after an 0-for-5 start.

Second quarter, 8:51, Celtics 24-21: This is turning into an ugly game and Doc Rivers tried to let the second team get some rhythm and they haven’t fared well. The trio of Von Wafer, Nate Robinson and Marquis Daniels are 0-for-4 with zero points. Glen Davis (9 points) is saving the Celtics right now.

End of first quarter, Celtics 20-16: Boston gave up 14 points in the first 7:31 of the quarter and 2 in the final 4:29. The Bobcats are shooting 40 percent from the field but are 2-for-13 from players not named Stephen Jackson and Nazr Mohammed. Rajon Rondo has 5 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds.

First quarter, 1:53, Celtics 18-14: Boston is beginning to pick it up with better defense and some transition baskets. Rajon Rondo has five points and four assists while Glen Davis has five off the bench. Besides Nazr Mohammed and Stephen Jackson, the Bobcats are 2-for-12 from the field.
