Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo is likely to miss at least a few games after injuring his left ankle last night against the Knicks, Celtics GM Danny Ainge said this afternoon on WEEI.
“Rajon, I think, will be out for a couple of weeks, anyway,” Ainge said on the radio station.
Rondo rolled his ankle driving to the basket in the fourth quarter of last night’s game. He was helped to the locker room but came back into the game to help the Celtics close out their last-second win.
“You could tell he was still in a lot of pain,” Ainge said on WEEI. “And certainly after the game it started puffing up. This morning there was a lot of swelling, and he definitely needs some time off.”
