Final, Celtics 99-88 Celtics grind this one out in workmanlike fashion. Glen Davis lights up the TD Garden with 10 points in the fourth quarter while Paul Pierce finished with 18 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds. Celtics limit their second-half turnovers and shut down Danny Granger, who finished with 19 points on 5-for-20 shooting.

Fourth quarter, 1:00, Celtics 97-86 Celtics have just executed better down the stretch and appear on their way to a 13th consecutive win. Paul Pierce collects his first triple double since March 8, 2006, and has picked up the slack for the injured Rajon Rondo.

Third quarter, 2:02, Celtics 63-59 This is turning into an ugly game and every time the Celtics have a chance to create some distance, they make a silly turnover. They have 14 today. Nate Robinson has 16 points but only two assists. Danny Granger leads Indiana with 14.

Third quarter, 5:39, Celtics 62-57 Just when it seems the Celtics are capable of pulling away, the Pacers make a run. They ran off 7 straight points to take a brief lead before a Nate Robinson jumper. The Pacers have attempted 16 more shots than the Celtics and have the edge in rebounding.


Halftime, Celtics 51-48 As expected this has been a battle as the Pacers have taken 50 shots and gotten a combined 22 points from Danny Granger and Darren Collison. Shaquille O’Neal scored 11 points in the first six minutes but hasn’t scored since. Paul Pierce has 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
