Opening round: This is bound to be a long, grueling series, but it will be interesting to see what kind of punches each team pulls early in Game 1. There’s bound to be plenty of overreactions on both sides should the game be lopsided one way or the other. In the first three games these teams played this season the Celtics brought playoff intensity and focus. In the fourth game, the Heat did. Will be a fun spectacle if both teams do.


Pierce vs. LeBron: Paul Pierce will likely spend the most time guarding LeBron James, which should wear him out. Will Pierce have anything left on the other end of the court? If not, who steps up their scoring in his absence?

Point of attack: The Celtics must win the point guard matchup. There’s no dancing around that. If Rajon Rondo doesn’t outplay Mike Bibby and Mario Chalmers, the C’s will be in trouble.
