Final: Bobcats 94-91: Bobcats end game on a 7-0 run as the Celtics missed several open shots. They were 7-for-20 shooting in the fourth quarter and didn’t score for the final 2:14. But the more serious news is the status of Leandro Barbosa, who injured his left knee in the third quarter.

Fourth quarter, 14.3, Bobcats 94-91 The Celtics stopped scoring and Kevin Garnett missed the potential go-ahead jumper, Kemba Walker was fouled and hit two free throws. Celtics ball. Ramon Sessions put the Bobcats ahead with a jumper with 25.7 seconds left.

Charlotte took a 1-point lead on a Gerald Henderson layup before a 3-pointer by Jason Terry — his third — and Kevin Garnett’s spinning turnaround jumper in the face of Bismack Biyombo for the 4-point lead. Garnett has 14 points and 13 rebounds. Jeff Green leads the Celtics with 18 points.

Fourth quarter, 7:35, Celtics 82-77: After watching their teammate Leandro Barbosa go down, the Celtics have played with more energy and Jason Terry and Jeff Green have hit consecutive 3-pointer while Kevin Garnett followed with a 19-foot jumper and he now has a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

End of third quarter, Bobcats 75-72: The Celtics give up 33 points in the quarter as Byron Mullen continues his career night with 25 points and 14 rebounds while Kemba Walker has 16 points. But that doesn’t compare to the potential serious injury sustained by Leandro Barbosa, who took a hard tumble after a missed shot and was carried off the court without placing pressure on either leg.

Third quarter, 5:43, Bobcats 60-59: Charlotte has come with more energy and the Celtics are having trouble with the length of Byron Mullens, who has 10 points and 13 rebounds while Kemba Walker has added 14. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett have a combined 16 points while Jeff Green (11 points) just came back into the game.


Halftime, Celtics 48-42: Doc Rivers played Paul Pierce 13 minutes, Kevin Garnett 11 minutes and Jason Terry 11 minutes, so it’s a good sign they are up 6 points. The bench has combined for 22 points, including 11 by leading scorer Jeff Green. Byron Mullens leads Charlotte with 13 and Kemba Walker has 10.

Kevin Garnett is about to return to the game after a long rest. Byron Mullens has 13 points and Kemba Walker has added 7.

Byron Mullens scored the first 10 points for Charlotte and finished the quarter with 11. Ramon Session has 4 points off the bench.
