Welcome to Target Center for Celtics-Timberwolves

MINNEAPOLIS — Coming off Friday’s 109-96 loss to Portland at TD Garden, the Celtics are on the tail-end of a back-to-back against the Timberwolves and will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak. Boston is also looking to extend its road-winning streak to three games.

The Timberwolves are coming off a 117-113 loss Friday at Denver.

The Celtics’ bench will be a short-handed, as Courtney Lee (sore right wrist) and Keith Bogans (illness) will both miss the game. Lee suffered the wrist injury during the Celtics’ loss to Portland.

Also, the Celtics will start 6-foot-11, 260-pound Vitor Faverani instead of Kelly Olynyk in the hopes that Faverani will match up better with 6-11, 285-pound Nikola Pekovic.
