ATLANTA — The Celtics begin a two-game road trip against the surprising Hawks, who have the third-best record in the Eastern Conference in the early going. Injuries are taking a toll as Kelly Olynyk could miss a “couple of weeks” with his sprained right ankle sustained in a collision with Roy Hibbert during Friday’s 97-82 loss to Indiana. He and Keith Bogans (illness) remained in Boston and Olynyk obviously will not play Monday in Charlotte.

• Brandon Bass will get the start at power forward to replace Olynyk, meaning the Celtics will go with Jared Sullinger at center against Al Horford, could be a tough matchup for Sullinger. Sullinger is fine after battling flu-like symptoms during Friday’s game.
• Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver has canned a 3-pointer in 86 consecutive games, three short of the NBA record set by former Celtic and BC standout Dana Barros, who began his streak with the 76ers and ended it with the Celtics in 1996. Korver passed former Georgia Tech and Orlando Magic star Dennis Scott at 78 games on Nov. 9 and ex-Denver Nugget Michael Adams on Nov. 11. His percentage during the run is 46.7 percent.
• The Celtics will take Sunday off after a back-to-back before facing the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday. They currently stand at 12th in the Eastern Conference.
• Former All-Star Elton Brand is a healthy inactive for the Hawks and hasn’t played since Nov. 19 at Miami.
