Ray Allen Dunks Like It’s 1997

Lost in all the drama of whether or not LeBron James should have eaten more cantaloupe before Game 1 of the NBA Finals Thursday night was Ray Allen doing his best impression of James bowling his way to the hoop.

Allen took it coast-to-coast in the third quarter of Miami’s loss, shoving Tiago Splitter aside (foul) on the way.

People forget that there was a time when Allen wasn’t just a shooter. The NBA’s all-time leader in 3-pointers was a slam dunk contest participant in 1997.
