Kevin Garnett is leaning toward a return to the Brookyln Nets next season, a league source tells ESPN New York.
Garnett is beginning offseason preparations for what would be his 20th NBA season, according to the report, and the Nets are operating as if he’ll be back. He is under contract for $12 million in 2014-15.
The 38-year-old power forward/center averaged 6.5 points and 6.6 rebounds in 20.5 minutes per game. He played in 54 games after being traded to Brooklyn along with Paul Pierce and Jason Terry for three first-round picks and five players. Pierce is an unrestricted free agent for 2014-15.
