Not one, not two, not three, not ….
Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will opt out of their current contracts with the Miami Heat to become free agents, Yahoo! Sports reports. The pair join Udonis Haslem and follow in the footsteps of LeBron James, who declared his intentions to opt out earlier in the week.
The intention of Wade and Bosh opting out is to facilitate the rebuild of another superteam in Miami, according to the report. Wade and Bosh and Haslem could take less money, while James is reportedly seeking a max-extension. The lesser deals would allow Miami to more aggressively pursue top free agents.
