If LeBron James isn’t going back to Cleveland, Cavaliers fans are going to be prettayyy upset.
Cleveland made a trade to clear salary cap space Wednesday, sending a big man with upside (Tyler Zeller) and a first-round pick to the Celtics in order to get Jarrett Jack and his salary off the books. The move gives Cleveland the cap space to sign James to a max contract.
In addition to that move, the Cavs are also in pursuit of James’s 3-point shooting binky in Ray Allen. Allen has said he will follow James wherever he decides to go in free agency. The two even vacationed together after the season.
