HARTFORD – The Celtics added to their lengthy list of injury casualties Wednesday afternoon.
The team announced that rookie swingman James Young will not suit up for the team tonight in their preseason tilt against the New York Knicks due to a strained left hamstring.
Young joins Jeff Green (sprained calf), Vitor Faverani (sore left knee), and Rajon Rondo (broken left hand) as the inactives for tonight’s contest.
It is unknown at this point just when Young suffered the injury. The rookie looked impressive in his NBA debut Monday night against the Sixers, scoring 10 points in just 20 minutes of action.
With Young and green out of action, look for Evan Turner to see plenty of action yet again at the wing spot. Training camp invites Tim Frazier and Rodney McGruder could also see a chance at extended minutes as well.
