The Timberwolves welcomed Kevin Garnett back to the Target Center in style on Wednesday night.
Garnett, the greatest player in Minnesota franchise history, received a tribute video and lengthy standing ovation as the Timberwolves introduced him as the final member of their starting five.
Garnett finished with five points and eight rebounds in 17 minutes of action, helping the Wolves blowout Paul Pierce and his Washington Wizards, 97-77. Pierce sat out the game due to a bruised right knee, but still engaged in some playful banter with his former teammate.
