Paul Pierce Can’t Stop Roasting the Toronto Raptors

Paul Pierce and the Washington Wizards swept the Toronto Raptors out of the postseason on Sunday night and the former Celtics star took to social media to take an entertaining victory lap.
In his first post, Pierce is sitting on the Iron Throne, a chair that the “King of the North” rules from in HBO’s “Game Of Thrones.” “We The North” has been a rallying cry for the Raptors in the past few seasons.

The Truth also took a playful shot at Toronto and the team’s brand ambassador, Drake.

Those posts were a followup to another boastful tweet from Pierce on Friday night, who hit two game-clinching 3-pointers in the fourth quarter of a hard-fought Game 3 win.

What motivated all of these posts? The Toronto Sun took a shot at Pierce at the start of the playoff series with this front page cover that got the Truth’s attention, one year after the paper made fun of Pierce and former teammate Kevin Garnett when the two played for the Brooklyn Nets.
