Empty locker

Today’s scenes from an upside-down Fenway Park, which had Manny Ramirez peeking into the clubhouse, uttering an expletive, and addressing the media crowd, “Everybody get the story and get out.”

* David Wells’s locker has been cleaned out. Five shipping boxes are standing in front of his stall, while Julian Tavarez, who was watching the Yankees’ game on the couch, will start tonight. Terry Francona said a deal has not been made, but that GM Theo Epstein might address the situation later today.

* Lenny DiNardo, pulled from his start in Pawtucket, was brought up to Boston. He was in the clubhouse.

* David Ortiz was released from Massachusetts General Hospital this morning. He will be monitored on an outpatient basis, according to Francona.

* No update on Jon Lester, who was admitted to Mass General on Wednesday and examined for enlarged lymph nodes.

* Injured players Jason Varitek, Trot Nixon, and Alex Gonzalez are scheduled to go on rehabilitation assignments in Pawtucket this weekend. Varitek and Gonzalez were in the clubhouse. Gonzalez was wearing his “Got Manny?” T-shirt. Tim Wakefield is planning to throw a side session at Fenway tomorrow.

* Francona is expecting several reinforcements to arrive from Pawtucket tomorrow.
