Lineups, etc.

I have to apologize for the blog delay. I had such trouble getting online at the Rogers Centre that it prompted a moment of craziness (muttering under my breath-style). But fortunately the IT guy rode to my rescue. I’m sure blog nation thanks him.

Got a few interesting stories for you today, including perhaps the most amusing moment in Terry Francona’s office thus far this season.

There are a few changes to the Sox lineup for this first game up in Toronto. Wily Mo Pena, as expected, has taken the place of J.D. Drew in right field. Francona said he didn’t want to have Drew play all three games on the turf in Rogers Centre, which is why you’ll likely see much of the roster in the starting lineup over the next couple of days, since it’s so hard to play three straight games on turf for those not used to it.

So here are the lineups, with more to come…

1. Julio Lugo, SS
2. Coco Crisp, CF
3. David Ortiz, DH
4. Manny Ramirez, LF
5. Kevin Youkilis, 1B
