Drew out sick

The Red Sox just announced a lineup change. J.D. Drew, who was batting fifth and playing right field in the original lineup, is now out with “viral symptoms,” according to the team. I saw Drew in the Sox clubhouse as he was measuring up a pair of bats before batting practice. He did seem a little flush, whatever that’s worth. Eric Hinske will take Drew’s place in right field and bat eighth.

Here is the updated Sox batting order:

1. Julio Lugo, SS
2. Coco Crisp, CF
3. David Ortiz, DH
4. Manny Ramirez, LF
5. Kevin Youkilis, 1B
6. Mike Lowell, 3B
7. Jason Varitek, C
8. Eric Hinske, RF
9. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
