Sox make cuts

TAMPA – The Sox roster is down to 35 after four players were optioned to Pawtucket following the Sox’ 8-4 loss to the Yankees.

Righthanded pitchers Craig Hansen and Lincoln Holdzkom, catcher George Kottaras, and first baseman-outfielder Chris Carter were sent to Triple-A.

The 35 does not include RHP Curt Schilling, who is on the 60-day disabled list.
