Neither Manny Ramirez nor Kevin Youkilis discussed what caused their dustup last night in the dugout, but both players said they were past it.
“It’s good, it’s over, a new day,” Youkilis said as he walked past reporters.
Manny spent a couple of minutes talking to reporters.
“Everything’s good,” he said, later adding: “A misunderstanding. Even the best families have them.”
According to three sources, Manny had raised objections to Youkilis throwing equipment around in the dugout after flying deep to center in the fourth inning, and advised him to “cut that (expletive) out. Youkilis apparently didn’t take kindly to the remark, said something, and Manny swiped at him.
