FORT MYERS, Fla. — At the risk of sounding repetitive, it’s another quiet morning at the Red Sox’ player development complex as, with the full squad now in attendance, players are settling into daily routines. And with the start of games still seven days away, there’s not much that passes for news before the players hit the fields.
Dustin Pedroia chatted with reporters this morning inside the clubhouse and expressed a desire to play all 162 games this season. Informed of this development after approaching Pedroia, manager Terry Francona asked, “162 what? Cribbage games?”
We’ll have more throughout the day.
