PAWTUCKET 4, Buffalo 3
The PawSox trailed by one in the bottom of the eighth with two outs when Chris Carter singled and Angel Chavez followed with a game-winning, two-run home run. Clay Buchholz allowed three runs in 4 1/3 innings on seven hits, two walks, and two home runs. He struck out five. Kevin Youkilis, on a rehab assignment, went 0 for 4. Chavez went 3 for 4 and scored two runs. Carter went 2 for 4. Iggy Suarez went 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI.

New Hampshire 3, PORTLAND 0
The Sea Dogs managed three hits. Centerfielder Bubba Bell went 2 for 3. Catcher Mark Wagner went 1 for 4. T.J. Large pitched a scoreless ninth, walking one and lowering his ERA to 0.98. Chad Rhodes pitched 2.1 innings of scoreless relief.


Wilmington 9, SALEM 7
The Red Sox pounded 13 hits but surrendered 17. Leftfielder Chih-Hsien Chiang went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBI. Jason Place went 1 for 3 with two walks, a double, a run, and an RBI. Jonathan Hee went 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI. Catcher Luis Exposito went 2 for 5 with a double, a run, and two RBI. The Red Sox committed five errors.

GREENVILLE was off. They play at Augusta today.
