Game 2 in danger

Rain is expected throughout the day in New York on Saturday, endangering Game 2 of the ALCS.

Major League Baseball officials said the first two games of the series will be played in New York no matter how long it takes. The Yankees took Game 1 on Friday, 4-1.

If Game 2 is postponed, it could be played Sunday afternoon as Game 3 is an afternoon start in Anaheim.

As for Game 1:

• The Angels had three errors and let a pop-up drop. “It was ugly,” Mike Scioscia said. Torii Hunter’s error was his first since 2007,

• CC Sabathia had been 0-2, 10.45 in the ALCS prior to tonight, those games coming against Boston in 2007.

• Tonight was only the second time all season there was not a home run hit at Yankee Stadium. Given the wind, it would have taken a howitzer to take one out.

• Chone Figgins is 0-for-16 in the postseason.

• A-Rod has seven RBI in four postseason games.

OK, can’t feel my fingers at this point. Time to head home. Thanks for reading, catch you tomorrow,
