NLCS Game 3: Phillies 11, Dodgers 0

UPDATE, 11:10 p.m.: We’ve officially reached the ridiculous stage as the Phillies lead 11-0. Every starter has scored at least one run.

UPDATE, 10:29 p.m.: Manny getting the “steroids” chant from the fans here in Philly. J.C. Romero anybody? Its 8-0 in the seventh inning.

UPDATE, 9:47 p.m.: Phillies up 6-0 and Lee has a two-hitter going in the fifth inning. Manny has both hits for the Dodgers.

UPDATE, 8:58 p.m.: Kuroda is out, having lasted only 1.1 innings and 36 pitches. Phillies lead 5-0 in the second inning and threatening for more. We could be looking at an East Coast Yankees-Phillies World Series.

UPDATE, 8:32 p.m.: Well, this will be easy as the game seems over in the first inning. Ryan Howard — yes, Ryan Howard — had a two-run triple then Jason Werth a two-run homer. Phillies lead 4-0 with Cliff Lee on the mound.

Meanwhile it’s nice to be at stadium where the fans, you know, sit in the seats they purchased and watch the game, even those with the good seats. What a concept.

NOTES: The series is tied 1-1. … Counting the postseason, Lee is 8-4, 3.00 for the Phillies since being acquired from Cleveland. … Kuroda is pitching for the first time since Sept. 28. He pitched in a simulated game in Arizona on Tuesday and impressed Joe Torre enough to get the start. He had missed his last start with a sore neck.

I’ll try and post a few updates as the game goes on, but there is some newspaper work to do as well. It’s another cold night for baseball, 46 degrees in Philly with a chance for rain.
