The Philly fans have been letting Manny have it the last few days. When Major League Baseball’s steroids commercial played on the scoreboard, they chanted “Manny, Manny.”
UPDATE, 9:59 p.m.: The Dodgers lead 4-2, having scored three runs on six hits in the last three innings. Randy Wolf has put only one runner on base since Howard’s homer.
UPDATE, 9:05 p.m.: Shocking turn of events here in Philadelphia as Yankees manager Joe Girardi emerges from the dugout to make an unnecessary pitching change for the Phillies.
UPDATE, 8:58 p.m.: Joe Blanton perfect through three here in Philly, only 32 pitches. The Dodgers haven’t scored in 12 consecutive innings
UPDATE, 8:28 p.m.: Ryan Howard just clubbed a two-run homer off Randy Wolf. He has at least one RBI in eight straight postseason games, tying Lou Gehrig’s record. It has been a rough year for the Iron Horse. First Jeter and now Howard.
