A couple of public service announcements for you:
The Red Sox and Massachusetts General Hospital officials announced the new 9K Run to Home Base, a unique fundraising event to benefit the Home Base Program. The new program serves local veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.
The event will be May 23. Participation in the run is limited to the first 3,500 registered runners (16 years and older). Each participant is required to raise a minimum charitable donation of $1,000 for the Home Base Program. The race will will end at home plate at Fenway Park.

The Cambridge Center for Adult Education is celebrating baseball with a series of programs and events called Home Run in Harvard Square. The seminars will explore the art, science, business and history of the game.
