Red Sox coverage in today’s Globe

Dan Shaughnessy examines what is now an awkward relationship between Mike Lowell and the Red Sox.

Theo Epstein tells Amalie Benjamin that the team comes first in these situations. But he still expects Lowell to be on the team. The question is for how long.

Marco Scutaro has figured something out at the plate the last two years. This notebook also has updates on David Ortiz, Jonathan Papelbon, Daisuke Matsuzaka and some prospects who are well regarded.

It’s a little foggy here in the Fort and rain is expected according to the iPhone weather app. The Sox have their annual “let’s go get ’em” team meeting at 9 a.m. then take the field for the first full-squad workout.

John Henry, Larry Lucchino and Tom Werner are expected to meet with reporters at some point today. If you have a legitimate question you’d like me to ask them, drop me an e-mail and I’ll try and ask it. Don’t try and get me fired, however.
