Bench coach DeMarlo Hale will be managing both of the away games.

Back with much more later on.

UPDATE, 9:10 a.m.: The Marlins have decided to offer Rule 5 Draft pick Jorge Jiminez back to the Red Sox. It would the Sox $25,000 to get him back, half what they were paid when he was taken.

UPDATE, 9:20 a.m.: Good piece today by Joel Sherman of the Post on whether the Red Sox can trade for Adrian Gonzalez.

UPDATE, 10:24 a.m.: Matsuzaka would pitch in relief of Tim Wakefield on Thursday if he gets through today OK. … Francona is not too concerned with Ramon Ramirez despite his 13.50 ERA this spring. This is based on what he did last season and that he’s healthy. … Francona again had praise for Boof Bonser, who is making a better than expected comeback from shoulder surgery.
