MINNEAPOLIS — Just arrived at the new stadium in Minnesota, Target Field. It’s a great park, a little reminiscent of Jacobs Field (OK, Progressive Field) in Cleveland. Huge scoreboard with a big Twins logo over it. Plus there’s the old-school Minnie and Paul in center field, who shake hands for every Twins home run.
We’ll have lots of updates from the park today, including the reaction of manager Terry Francona — who absolutely hated the Metrodome. He wasn’t alone in that opinion.
If you check out my Twitter feed @AmalieBenjamin, you can see a couple of photos of the park. Having trouble getting the photos onto the blog — apologies for that.
The Sox clubhouse opens in a few minutes, and we’ll get all the updates here as soon as we can, including on the state of Jacoby Ellsbury’s ribs.
Be back in a few.
