Ortiz pays respects to Lima

David Ortiz arrived at Fenway Park about an hour ago after traveling to New York City to attend a memorial service for former big league pitcher Jose Lima, who passed away at the age of 37 on Sunday.

“It was nice. I’m glad I was there,” Ortiz said. “Jose was a good friend.”

Ortiz chartered a private plane to make the trip. He is in the lineup tonight, batting third.
