Red Sox coverage in today’s Globe

Dustin Pedroia was the hero as the Red Sox walked off with a victory against the Dodgers. Amalie Benjamin has the story.

Nick Cafardo writes that the Sox are making the numbers work.

Victor Martinez looks every bit an All-Star even if the votes don’t reflect that.

Manny Ramirez has had a productive few days so far but has yet to speak. Nate Taylor has the story.

The notebook has the Sox facing some outfield depth issues, Dice-K looking good in a simulated game and Robert Manuel getting the call up.

In his Sunday Baseball Notes, Nick looks at the trade market.

Today is Father Day’s and hopefully all you dads out there enjoy some time with your loved ones. It’s a shame the game is at 8 p.m. because Father’s Day should have a soundtrack of baseball in the background.

Here’s to my dad, who taught me how to score a baseball game and drove me to cover my first game (Westport vs. Diman Voke soccer) when I got a part-time job at the Standard-Times in New Bedford.

From small things, big things one day come. Thanks, Pop.
