Josh Beckett just completed a two-inning simulated game at Fenway Park against hitters from the independent Brockton Rox.
He threw 41 pitches and, according to Sox media relations chief Pam Ganley, felt fine.
Beckett’s next step will be to start a minor-league rehab assignment, probably on Tuesday. He’ll need a few starts in the minors before he is activated off the disabled list.
