If you’re headed for Fenway Park later this season — especially with kids — here is some information you may find helpful (via the Red Sox):
Wally’s World at Fenway Park: Is a new area for kids that will operate from the middle of the 2nd inning though the end of the 7th. It’s on Yawkey Way and the activities includes games for kids (skee ball, ring toss, speed pitch, etc.) along with kid-friendly concessions.
There will be video game consoles, screens with the game on and you can get coupons for 20 percent off kids merchandise at the team store. Wally himself will be there during the third and fourth innings.
Right field team store: There’s a new store near Gate B inside the Big Concourse.
Fenway Smoke House: It’s a new BBQ stand on Yawkey Way that will include pulled pork sandwiches and BBQ beef sandwiches along with raspberry lime rickey, lemonade and orangeade.
Kids Run The Bases: That will be Aug. 25 after the game against Seattle.
Player-Fan Photo Sessions: These will be Aug. 3, 24 and Sept. 7 from 5:30 to 6 p.m. across from Gate D and next to the NESN stage. No word on who the players will be.
Siver Sox Night: That will be Sept. 22. Fans 65 and older with tickets to the game can enter at 4 p.m. to watch batting practice. There will be discount coupons and meet and greets with team executive and some entertainment as well.
