Farrell may be Toronto’s choice

Peter Gammons wrote this on Twitter earlier:

Three GMs today insisted John Farrell will get the Toronto job. The final list was the product of exhaustive, thoughtful due diligence

But Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos said this to the Toronto Star: “I still have not made up my own mind on the candidates.”

Farrell makes sense given that the Blue Jays are building around their young pitchers. But nothing seems official yet. His loss would be a significant one to the Red Sox. Farrell was heavily involved in how the team drafted and developed pitchers as well as coaching them at the major league level.
