Red Sox coverage in today’s Globe

Nick Cafardo writes about the situation prospect Lars Anderson finds himself in now that the Red Sox have brought in Adrian Gonzalez to play first base. But there’s hope for Anderson (pictured above, photo by Jim Davis of the Globe), because Gonzalez himself knows firsthand what it’s like to have a star ahead of you on the depth chart. Gonzalez was behind Derrek Lee, Mark Teixeira and Ryan Klesko before finally breaking through.

The Red Sox notebook opens with manager Terry Francona not tipping his hand on who his opening day starter might be. Other notes are on lefties Rich Hill and Andrew Miller, Gonzalez taking a day off from hitting and an update on the Red Sox’ offer for pitcher Chad Durbin.

We’ll have two more Globe 10.0 video debates shot this morning in Fort Myers, the new Spring Training Today will be posted around 3 p.m., and Nick Cafardo and Michael Vega will have your Extra Bases updates throughout the day.
