Ryan Lavarnway singled and pinch runner Josh Reddick went to third when Ryan Kalish. Luis Exoposito walked before Yamaico Navarro was hit on the left wrist by with a fastball by Wynn Pelzer, a Baltimore prospect.
Navarro went down for a few seconds and is getting treatment for a bruise. Navarro had a walk-off single against Baltimore on Monday.

Riveting game for NESN. Atchison retired all six batters he faced and the Soc have set down 11 consecutive Orioles.
Meanwhile the Sox have not had a hit since the fourth inning. Baltimore pitching has retired 12 of the last 13 batters.

Atchison retired the side in order in the sixth. The Sox also went down in order as Michael Ballard struck out Pedroia and Ortiz.

Jenks retired the side in order, striking out Andino and Angle looking. The Sox then went in order, too.

The Orioles put runners on second and third with one out as Pie singled and Bell doubled. But Harris fouled out to first and Buchholz got Snyder on a grounder to short.

Drew snuck a fly ball over the fence in right center for his first jack of the spring. Varitek followed with a double but was stranded as Lowrie struck out. Nava walked then Sutton grounded into a double play.
Middle of the 2nd: Orioles 0, Red Sox 0
Fox led off with a double and advanced to third on a fly ball. He tried to score on a grounder to short but was thrown out by Scutaro. Snyder then singled before Mahoney grounded into a force.
The O’s hit the ball hard that inning but had nothing to show for it.

Scutaro (F-8), Pedroia (6-3) and Ortiz (F-7) went in order.

Buchholz retired the side on 12 pitches. He struck out Angle and Winn swinging and got Pie on a grounder to short. That’s six scoreless innings for him this spring with one hit.
Pre-game: Big crowd at City of Palma for tonight’s tilt as the Orioles. … The PA announcer pronounced Che-Hsuan Lin as “Szechuan” Lin, like he was a chicken item. It’s Chay-shwan. … It’s 78 degrees and there’s a chance of rain.
