Jenks works an inning for PawSox

Bobby Jenks made his second rehabilitation appearances for Triple A Pawtucket tonight. Here’s how it went as he started against Indianapolis:

Gorkys Hernandez: Struck out swinging
Brian Friday: Fly ball to center
Alex Presley: Walked then stole second
Andy Marte: RBI single to center, then stole second
John Bowker: Grounder to second

According to PawSox broadcaster Dan Hoard, Jenks threw 11 of his 20 pitches for strikes, threw all of his pitches, and was 94-96 m.p.h. with his fastball.

That sounds ready to me. We’ll see what Terry Francona says later but Jenks could be activated as soon as Tuesday, if not tomorrow.
