Red Sox sign Ohlendorf

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Red Sox have signed former Yankees and Pirates righthander Ross Ohlendorf according to Peter Gammons. Presumably, it’s a minor-league deal.

Ohlendorf, in fact, just walked in.

Ohlendorf had an 8.15 ERA for the Pirates last season and made only nine starts because of a shoulder injury.

He has a 4.77 ERA in 95 career games. Ohlendorf was 11-10, 3.92 in 29 starts in 2009.

Ohlendorf is an interesting guy. He attended Princeton and is a rancher in the offseason.
