Ellsbury out of the lineup again

Jacoby Ellsbury remains out of the Red Sox lineup with an injury and may not play until Tuesday, if then.

Manager Bobby Valentine has not disclosed the injury. But it was learned on Friday that Elllsbury has a lat strain. Ellsbury, who did play catch before the game, was not available for comment.

“Oh, gosh, I have no idea,” Valentine said when asked if Ellsbury would play on Sunday. “Probably be conservative and cautious. When he’s ready to play, we’d love to have him play. … It’s something he wants to be cautious with.”

Ellsbury has played in 246 of the last 476 games.
