Notes: With Ryan Dempster staying in Fort Myers to pitch in a minor league game, the Sox will bring Workman up from minor league camp to start the game. The 24-year-old was 10-8 with a 3.50 ERA in 25 start for High Single A Salem and Double A Portland last season. Only five of those starts came for Portland and Workman is likely to start this season back in the Eastern League. The University of Texas product was a second-round draft choice in 2010. … The Sox beat the Phillies 6-1 on Thursday at home. … The game will be a homecoming of sorts for Victorino, who played for the Phillies from 2005 until he was traded to the Dodgers last July 31. … This is the first start of the spring for Bradley in left field and perhaps a harbinger of things to come.
