Hernandez is 6-0 with a 2.18 ERA in his last 11 starts. He has not taken a loss since May. Hernandez beat the Sox on July 8, allowing two runs over seven innings. He is 7-2, 3.13 in 13 career starts against the Sox; 3-1, 2.53 in six starts at Fenway. … Dempster had a rough start against Seattle on July 11, allowing seven runs (four earned) over 3.1 innings in a game the Sox came back to win. He is 1-0 with a 4.56 ERA in his last five starts. … The Sox are 17-11 against the AL West. … Seager is 11 of 27 with three extra-base hits and three walks in six games against the Sox this season.
