Fenway Park has played host to many concerts, yoga, weddings and more in recent years, now it’s time for some classic theater.
Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) — known for their free Shakespeare on the Common series that has taken place on the Boston Common since 1996 — will be performing at Fenway Park on Friday, Sept. 19.
For their 19th season production of Free Shakespeare on the Common this summer, CSC will be performing Twelfth Night from July 23 – Aug. 12.
Twelfth Night is Shakespeare’s classic comedy of love in disguise. One of The Bard’s most popular plays, Twelfth Night follows the journey of Viola and Sebastian, twins separated by a shipwreck, as they encounter loss and love in their new homeland-the mythical and magical land of Illyria. CSC last presented Twelfth Night in 2001.
The Red Sox will be facing the Orioles in Camden Yards on Sept. 19.
