Notes: Mike Napoli is swinging a hot bat going 6-for-14 in his last three games… Doubront allowed three runs in 5 1-3 innings in a 4-3 victory at Baltimore on Thursday but is 0-3 with an 11.40 ERA in six career games vs. the Rangers… Doubront has given up 16 runs (14 ER) on 27 hits and in 13 1/3 innings vs. Texas … Old friend Adrian Beltre has been ice cold at the plate, going 1-for-13 on the road for Texas, but he is 4-for-6 vs. Doubront, while Prince Fielder has struggled in the field and at the plate going 4-for-28 overall with the Rangers… the big Texas first baseman is 0-for-7 vs. Doubront… Perez has made just one start against the Red Sox, earning a no-decision as he allowed one run over six innings in a 2-1 loss in Texas on July 24, 2012… It’s Student Toga Night at Fenway where high school and college students can purchase $20.00 seats (togas not required)…
