Notes: A win today would get the Red Sox back to .500 for the first time since the team was 2-2 on April 4 … Jackie Bradley Jr. is back in the lineup after being given Sunday night off, while Grady Sizemore sits today … Mike Napoli is playing despite taking a painful-looking pitch to the left kneecap last night … Clay Buchholz has put up good numbers at Fenway against the Orioles, posting a 4-1 record with a 1.74 ERA in seven starts, while winning his last four face-offs with Baltimore … Meanwhile, Baltimore’s starting pitcher Wei-Yin Chin has struggled against Boston recently, going 0-2 with a 7.97 ERA in his last four contests with the Red Sox, but he has won his last two games pitched, including a 7-1 win over Tampa Bay a week ago … The Red Sox have gone 4-1 in previous Patriots’ Day games against the Orioles, the last being in 2009, and they are 68-50 (.576) all-time on the holiday. They have won 10 of their last 13 Patriots’ Day contests, starting in 2001 … David Ortiz has said he would like to visit the Boston Marathon finish line after the game.
