Notes: The Red Sox are playing cartoon theme music to mess with the Rays during their warmups. John Farrell said he expects Stephen Drew to be available to the team on Monday. Drew will play nine innings at shortstop on Saturday and Sunday for the PawSox at Norfolk. … Mike Napoli was seen running the bases before Friday’s game… Ryan Lavarnway was placed on the 15-day DL and 1B-OF and local product Alex Hassan gets his first callup to the big leagues. Even with the four game winning streak, the Red Sox remain seven back in the division, in fourth place with the Rays in the cellar… Brock Holt and Xander Bogaerts each had three hits last night in the win over the Braves, Elias Sports bureau says it was only the third time in the last 27 seasons beginning in 1988 that a pair of Red Sox rookies each had three-plus hits in a game…The others were 9/8/91 vs. SEA (Phil Plantier, 4; Mo Vaughn 3) and 7/15/99 vs. PHI (Brian Daubach, 3; Trot Nixon, 3).
