Dustin Pedroia MRI Comes Back Clean

BOSTON – The Red Sox announced early in Saturday’s game against the Rays at Fenway Park that an MRI showed no fracture and no structural damage in Dustin Pedroia’s right hand.

An X-ray earlier in the day came back negative.

Pedroia left Friday’s game in the 10th inning after hurting his hand on a throw from catcher A.J. Pierzynski when Wil Myers stole second in the fourth.

Pedroia was not in the starting lineup for Saturday’s game. He had sat out just one other game this season, an April 13 loss at Yankee Stadium.
