Manny Ramirez Is Back on the Comeback Trail

Player-coach Manny Ramirez made his debut for the Iowa Cubs Thursday night in Colorado Springs, Colo. and reached on an error in his first at-bat.

The 12-time All-Star and former Red Sox left fielder played in Game 2 of a doubleheader, batted sixth in the Iowa lineup and struck out in the third and fifth innings after reaching on the error in the first.

Manny lined out in his final at-bat in the nightcap giving him an official 0-for-4 for the game.
Before the contest, the 42-year-old slugger signed autographs for fans in Colorado.
Ramirez signed a minor-league contract last month to be player-coach in Cubs’ president Theo Epstein’s organization.
